The pottery Studio
Small Memorable Objects is a creative project run by Erasmo Rodriguez. The works from the pottery studio reflect the deep connection between memory and creation. In the hands of potters, clay holds a unique memory of its shape, requiring care and intention when throwing pieces. But over time, repeated creation of those shapes creates a memory in the potter. The studio’s heart logo, “El Corazon”, symbolizes the emotional connection between memories and the objects that are imbued with them. This philosophy is echoed in the pieces that are crafted, where the forms are inspired by past experiences, personal milestones, or favorite memories. Through thoughtful shapes and the memories that guide the forms, the studio’s creations transform everyday objects into vessels of storytelling, connection, & reflection.
Erasmo

I’m a designer, maker, and engineer working at the intersection of memory and material. Through Small Memorable Objects, I create pottery that captures the quiet significance of everyday forms—objects that hold stories, meaning, and presence. With a background in aerospace engineering and precision manufacturing, my approach to clay is grounded in structure and process, but it’s also deeply intuitive. I’m drawn to how materials remember their shaping—how form carries feeling. Each piece is informed by a moment, a memory, or a rhythm, made to be held, used, and lived with.
Small Memorable Objects is a pottery studio rooted in tactile storytelling. Whether through a hand-pinched vessel or a carefully thrown form, Erasmo aims to create work that feels personal—grounded in the present but resonant with the past.
